From early reading to creative exploration, here’s what 2nd Grade students study at Score Academy Online. Synchronous students take every subject live. Asynchronous students access the same accredited curriculum at their own pace.

Yes. Score Academy Online is designed for young learners. Second graders on the Synchronous package learn in live classes with certified teachers who provide the attention and structure this age needs. By second grade, students are comfortable with digital tools and thrive in a focused environment.
Yes. Online schooling is legal in all 50 states. Many families choose online school during early elementary to provide a more focused, individualized learning experience. Score Academy Online is accredited by Cognia, so transcripts are recognized by schools and districts nationwide.
Second grade students study Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education. They also choose one elective from Spanish, Art, or Music. On the Synchronous and Flex packages, every subject is taught live by a certified teacher. On the Asynchronous package, students work through the same curriculum independently.
Pricing is per course for elementary students. Asynchronous is $415 per course. Flex (live group classes with recordings and teacher chat) is $1,275 per course. Synchronous (live small-group classes of no more than 4 students with personalized feedback) is $2,125 per course. Additional fees such as registration and technology fees may apply. Synchronous 2nd grade students follow a structured daily schedule from approximately 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with breaks and lunch built in. That’s roughly 4 to 5 hours of live instruction and guided activities, designed for young attention spans with purposeful breaks.
Three things. First, Synchronous instruction is 100% live and taught by certified human teachers. No AI tutors, no pre-recorded lectures as primary instruction. Second, every student gets an individualized education plan built by their teachers, not generated by software. Third, families can choose between Synchronous (small-group live), Flex (group live with recordings and teacher chat), and Asynchronous (fully self-paced), all under the same Cognia accreditation.
Yes. In every live class on the Synchronous and Flex packages, your child interacts with classmates and their teacher. Group activities, discussions, and collaborative projects build genuine connections. Many families find that consistent, personal interactions in a focused setting work better for this age than navigating a crowded traditional classroom.
Yes. Score Academy Online is accredited by Cognia (which includes SACS CASI, NCA, and NWAC recognition) and is both NCAA Approved and NCAA Eligible. Transcripts carry the same weight as those from any traditional accredited private school.
