The year expectations ramp up. Pre-algebra, deeper writing, real independence — in live classes of six with teachers who won't let your child fall behind.
Seventh grade ramps up expectations across the board. Writing assignments get longer and more complex. Math moves into pre-algebra territory. Science involves more inquiry and critical thinking. Socially and emotionally, seventh grade is famously difficult — kids this age are navigating puberty, identity, and intense social dynamics. For many students, the relative calm of a six-student online class is a welcome relief from the chaos of a traditional middle school building. At Score Academy, teachers know each student well enough to notice when something's off — and to do something about it.
From core academics to creative electives, here's a snapshot of what Grade 7 students study at Score Academy. Full Track students take every subject live in classes of six. Flex Track students access the same accredited curriculum at their own pace.

Yes. Score Academy Online's middle school program supports 7th graders through the year when academic expectations ramp up significantly. Students learn in live classes of no more than six, with certified teachers who provide the right balance of structure and growing independence.
Yes. Online schooling is legal in all 50 states. Many families begin online school during middle school to provide a more tailored, less overwhelming learning experience. Score Academy Online is accredited by Cognia, which means transcripts are recognized by other schools and universities nationwide.
Grade 7 students study English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Health and Physical Education, Digital Art and Design, Music, Coding Fundamentals, Career Research and Decision Making, and Critical Thinking. Additional electives may be available depending on the track and schedule.
Score Academy Online's Full Track is $15,000 per year plus a $1,500 registration fee, $500 enrollment deposit, and $225 technology fee. The Flex Track (self-paced with teacher access on demand) starts at $3,195 per year. Florida scholarship funds are accepted.
Full Track students follow a structured daily schedule from approximately 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with breaks and lunch built in. That's roughly 5 to 6 hours of live instruction and independent study — similar to a traditional school day but with less wasted time.
Three things set Score Academy apart. First, every class is capped at six students — not an average, the actual maximum in every live session. Second, 100% of Full Track instruction is live and taught by certified human teachers — no AI tutors, no pre-recorded lectures as primary instruction. Third, every student gets an individualized education plan built by their teachers, not generated by software.
Yes. In every live class, your child interacts with up to five classmates and their teacher. Group projects, discussions, and collaborative work build genuine connections. Many families find that smaller, more consistent interactions actually work better for this age group than navigating a large middle school.
Yes. Score Academy Online is accredited by Cognia (which includes SACS CASI, NCA, and NWAC recognition) and is both NCAA Approved and NCAA Eligible. Transcripts carry the same weight as those from any traditional accredited private school.
