The transition year — done right. Live classes of six, certified teachers who know every student by name, and the structure a new middle schooler actually needs.
Sixth grade is a turning point. Students move from the nurturing elementary environment toward greater independence — multiple teachers, higher academic expectations, and the start of real self-management. Research shows this transition often brings declining motivation, increased anxiety, and drops in performance. At Score Academy, classes of six mean your child is known by every teacher, supported through the transition, and building the habits that carry through the rest of their education. No child disappears in a class this small.

Yes. Score Academy Online is designed specifically for middle schoolers. Sixth graders learn in live classes of no more than six students, with certified teachers who provide the structure and support new middle schoolers need during the transition from elementary school.
Yes. Online schooling is legal in all 50 states. Many families begin online school during middle school to provide a more tailored, less overwhelming learning experience. Score Academy Online is accredited by Cognia, which means transcripts are recognized by other schools and universities nationwide.
Grade 6 students study English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Health and Physical Education, Digital Art and Design, Music, Coding Fundamentals, Career Research and Decision Making, and Critical Thinking. Additional electives may be available depending on the track and schedule.
Score Academy Online's Full Track is $15,000 per year plus a $1,500 registration fee, $500 enrollment deposit, and $225 technology fee. The Flex Track (self-paced with teacher access on demand) starts at $3,195 per year. Florida scholarship funds are accepted.
Full Track students follow a structured daily schedule from approximately 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with breaks and lunch built in. That's roughly 5 to 6 hours of live instruction and independent study — similar to a traditional school day but with less wasted time.
Three things set Score Academy apart. First, every class is capped at six students — not an average, the actual maximum in every live session. Second, 100% of Full Track instruction is live and taught by certified human teachers — no AI tutors, no pre-recorded lectures as primary instruction. Third, every student gets an individualized education plan built by their teachers, not generated by software.
Yes. In every live class, your child interacts with up to five classmates and their teacher. Group projects, discussions, and collaborative work build genuine connections. Many families find that smaller, more consistent interactions actually work better for this age group than navigating a large middle school.
Yes. Score Academy Online is accredited by Cognia (which includes SACS CASI, NCA, and NWAC recognition) and is both NCAA Approved and NCAA Eligible. Transcripts carry the same weight as those from any traditional accredited private school.
